Meet the Prime Minister

It is always nice to receive a "thank you", however, when it is the Prime Minister himself to show his gratitude, I think it brings that little bit of extra pride not only to the recipient but also to the whole team.

Recently, Abakus Solutions was invited for a thank you reception held by the Prime Minister (of Malta) on the occasion of the Papal visit last April. The occasion brought together all those that in some way or another assisted the organising committee in staging a very intense 2-day visit by Pope Benedict XVI.

Abakus Solutions was responsible for the online part of the event with a bi-lingual site promoting the visit and aiding the journalist by supplying media-related material for their perusal. Abakus was also important for an underlying system that was used to accept, vet and issue accreditations to visiting clergy, journalists and others. It is estimated that 6000 accreditations were processed through this system in the days preceding the event.

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi thanked Abakus Solutions for their collaboration with his office and the support rendered to the organising committee. In this article Sarah and Vanessa can be seen receiving the Prime Minister's thanks with a big smile on their face!
